My 1987 Cape Dory is Starting to show some wear in the cockpit. Rather then filling all the small spider cracks and repainting I decided to try the PlasDECK option.
The first step is to create a template from which to to work from. Angela from  Marine Plastic Innovations of West Babylon NY describes the PlasDECK process.

Seawater algae such as kelp can be farmed in at least two ways. It can be grown around a rope that is anchored to the sea floor so that they do not drift away. Off the coast of California, boats with mowers harvest the top few feet of natural kelp beds. Thanks for sharing.
